Dr Debbie Bell
Our Associate Dentist Dr Debbie Bell (B.D.S. Sheffield UK) and her husband Mark moved from the UK with their two small daughters in 2000. They had planned to only stay for 2 years but fell in love with the Australian way of life, work ethic and of course the weather! They all became Australian Citizens in 2006 and are happy to call Brisbane home. Fast forward a few years and Debbie has been working with Ken at the Graceville Dental Practice for 14 years. Her girls have grown up and left home and when she’s not working as a dentist, she loves to spend time in her garden trying to grow roses and keep her chickens and ducks in order! She loves to bake using the eggs from the chooks. She also has a passion for all things Italian and with Mark attends the Dante Alighieri Italian School. She tries to keep fit by walking most mornings around the neighbourhood but secretly would rather be sitting in one of the numerous local cafes sipping a flat white and eating cake!
Debbie likes the variety that you get in general practice, treating the very young to the very old, meeting the dental challenges that go with these two extremes and everything else along the way. She is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and attends regular post graduate meetings to keep abreast of new techniques that are always happening in Dentistry. She likes the family atmosphere in the practice and considers many of her patients her friends. She has seen quite a few of her patients as small children and they still come regularly for check-ups now they have left home! She is looking forward to continuing working with Ken and the team at Graceville for quite a few more years!
